- Daniel Padilla, Diego Loyzaga, and Iñigo Pascual made the audience swoon with delight during ABS-CBN’s Sunday musical variety show ASAP
- They performed the acoustic version of the 2003 hit, 'Balisong', originally performed by Rivermaya
- Seeing the three actors together was a pleasant change since they usually perform pop and romantic songs with their reel partners
Three of Kapamilya's teen heartthrobs serenaded the audience of the longest running musical variety show, ASAP, last July 24.
Daniel Padilla, Diego Loyzaga, and Iñigo Pascual sang an acoustic version of Rivermaya’s hit, ‘Balisong,’ during a jamming session as part of a segment.
Usually, the actors perform with their respective leading ladies but this time, they left the people in the live studio screaming for more when they shared the same stage altogether.
They gave a new twist to the song released back in 2003 as part of the Rivermaya’s album, ‘Between Star and Waves,’ through incorporating guitar strums in their production number. The teen stars even held the hands of lucky members of the crowd.
The 18-year old son of Piolo Pascual, Iñigo, previously starred in the films, ‘Relaks, It’s Just Pag-Ibig,’ ‘Crazy Beautiful You,’ and ‘Para Sa Hopeless Romantic.’ He recently admitted that he was dating Filipino-British Kelley Day. The latter is a member of the girl group, ‘Girl Trends,’ in the noontime variety show, ‘It’s Showtime.’
Carlos Diego Loyzaga, popularly known as Diego Loyzaga, moved to the Philippines in 2011 from Australia to pursue his acting career. In March of the similar year, the son of actress Teresa Loyzaga and actor Cesar Montano signed a three-year exclusive contract with his mother network, ABS-CBN. He last starred in the top-billed remake of ‘Pangako Sa ‘Yo.’
Last but definitely not the least, is the other half of the popular love team, KathNiel. Daniel Padilla is not only an actor but a recording artist as well. His latest album ‘I Feel Good’, which was released in 2015, earned a Gold record. His hit songs include ‘Nasa Iyo Na ang Lahat’ and ‘Simpleng Tulad Mo.’
The actor-singer is scheduled to release a film with his partner, Kathryn Bernardo, which was filmed in Spain and directed by award-winning filmmaker, Olivia M. Lamasan.
