- Eric Quizon commented on the recent breakup of his father’s former partner, Zsa Zsa Padilla, from Conrad Onglao
- In the press conference, Quizon showed nothing but support for Padilla regarding her current issue
- He advised the singer to follow her heart and reminded her of his constant support in her future endeavors
Eric Quizon expressed his sympathy for Zsa Zsa Padilla, the former wife of his late father, Dolphy. This was after the singer-actress announced her break up with architect Conrad Onglao last May.
Quizon readily answered questions regarding Padilla in the press conference event held for the film, ‘That Thing Called Tanga Na’ directed by Joel Lamangan, on Thursday, July 21, at the Valencia Events Place in Quezon City.
“We’re very good friends,” said the actor-director as he explained that their pact stayed strong. It was known that Padilla was in a 23-year relationship with the Comedy King until he passed away last 2010. After hearing the news of her separation, he chose to give her space knowing that the singer was still hurting.
It wasn’t until a casual conversation about an estate that he had the chance to convey his feelings by sending a simple text message saying, “We’re just here for you, so we’re not going anywhere.”
A heartfelt thank you message for his support was the reply of Padilla to Kaizz, Eric’s nickname.
Even Quizon didn’t see the two parting ways because the couple just announced their engagement prior to their break up. As for the real reason why Padilla and Onglao drifted from each other, he confessed that he was as clueless as everyone else because he didn’t see a reason for him to probe.

Given his good relationship with Padilla, what advice can he give her regarding the rumor that the architect still wants to reconcile?
“Follow her heart,” was his message. He reminded Padilla to just enjoy the things which brings her happiness. Quizon also admitted that the singer has not yet fully moved on. According to him, given the former couple’s 2-year relationship, it will be better for them to talk when they’re both ready.
Meanwhile, the actor-director laughed off the insinuating media when they asked him if he was mad at Onglao. He countered that he wasn’t the one in the relationship, in the first place.
Quizon’s film produced by Regal Entertainment, Inc. tackles the different dynamics of the relationships of gays, including the closet ones.
