Few weeks from now, Kapuso actress/host Iya Villania and husband Drew Arellano will become parents for the first time.
Iya shared that her pregnancy journey has been a breeze and she’s still taking it easy since she is a first-timer mom. According to her, she would not want to experience a traumatic first pregnancy
“Baka mamaya hanggang isang anak lang ako, so yeah I’m glad that I’m able to enjoy my first pregnancy so far,” she said.
[I’m afraid I might opt not to bear a child anymore (if I stress myself), so yeah I’m glad that I’m able to enjoy my first pregnancy so far.]
The 24 Oras showbiz anchor shared that she has not been experiencing pregnancy discomforts such as back pains, sleeping problems, and weight gain, saying that she need not to hire a nutritionist since she is fond of reading and searching online.
Iya said: “I don't wanna deprive my son from the green leafy goodness that he can get so I make sure to take it in other ways.”
Prior to the pregnancy, Iya has been working out and doing swimming, biking, running, and carrying weights. She posted a video on Instagram where she was biking in fast speed and explained that it was fast-forwarded through Snapchat app.
She then added: “You know what, puwede naman, kaya naman actually to bike that fast basta yung bigat ng gearing, wag masyadong mabigat.”
(You know what, it’s possible, it’s actually possible to bike that fast given that the gearing is not too heavy.)
Iya explained that before she got pregnant, she was in good shape and that whatever weight her baby is adding, it is just minimal. He shared that she gained 10 kilos from her pregnancy, a healthy weight gain according to her.
She shared how stressful it is to bear a child in the country because she knows that people’s eyes are on her given that her first baby is a boy. She said that she became more conscious on how she looks every time she leaves the house, given that most people in the country believes that having a boy will make the mother ugly while pregnant.
