- President Rodrigo Duterte enjoys a raging 91% trust rating according to Pulse Asia survey
- Vice President Robredo also earned a sizeable trust rating of 62%
- Duterte’s trust rating has been recorded as the highest in the Pulse Asia survey history
It still has not reached a month from the day President Rodrigo Duterte took his oath of office as the 16 President of the Republic of the Philippines, mixed reactions from the citizens have faced him but he has his eye on his target – to deliver his promise of a better Philippines.
The new President seems to have his efforts paid off as he enjoys a ringing 90% trust rating according to the result of Pulse Asia, Inc. survey which was released Wednesday, July 20, 2016. The survey has +- 3% of error.
Results show that a sizeable 91% says they trust the President, while the number of those who said they distrust him did not reach half a percent, 8% remains to be undecided. The survey included 1,200 Filipinos from all over the country from July 2 to 8.
By far, Duterte holds the record of the highest level of trust from the public in the history of Pulse Asia survey. He got a higher percentage than the former President Benigno Aquino III’s 85% trust rating from the survey conducted last July 1-11 of 2010 when he started his term.
Geographically speaking, Duterte garnered his highest trust rating in Mindanao with a splurging 97%. Meanwhile, Class D gave Duterte the highest trust rating at 92%. On the other hand, the survey result for Vice President Leni Robredo shows a 62% trust rating.
According to Pulse Asia President Ronald Holmes, this is a “sizeable majority”, 11% of the Filipinos distrust her, and 27% are undecided on whether to trust her or not.
Among geographical areas, Robredo earned the highest trust rate from the Visayas. -Kami Media
