- President Rodrigo Duterte got an 'excellent trust' from citizens according to SWS survey
- The findings improved from 26% 'moderate trust' of last May's survey
- 1,200 adult Filipinos participated in the survey from all over the country
It has been roughly two weeks from the day President Rodrigo Duterte sat as the 16 President of the Philippines.
And President Rodrigo Duterte begins his six-year term with an excellent trust rating, as shown on a survey by the Social Weather Stations (SWS).
The SWS survey for the second quarter found that 84% of the respondents have “MUCH TRUST” in the new President, 5% with “LITTLE TRUST”, and 11% still cannot decide, with a net trust rating of 79%.
The new results represent a 53-point jump when he scored a moderate trust rating of 26% in the last May 2016 survey.
The survey that yielded an exceptional result was fielded from June 24-27, 2016 among 1,200 adults nationwide with a margin of error of +-3%
The said survey was first published in Business World.
In the first few days of Rodrigo Duterte as president, he has already wowed the country with the implementation of programs he promised the citizens during his campaign.
His tough and active campaign against illegal drugs had encouraged local government units and other law enforcement agencies to conduct several operations to crack down on individuals involved in drug trafficking.
He had also implemented significant reforms in the departments under the Office of the President and signed executive orders for issues which he believed should be given utmost priority by the government.
However, several groups have expressed their concerns regarding Duterte's 'style', but this obviously did not stop Duterte's trust rating to shoot up. -Kami Media
