DZBB reports that a fire broke out along Gunao Street in Quiapo, Manila. The fire was said to have started at around 6 PM on Saturday, April 9.
The fire was hit 5 alarm at 6:25 PM; and was declared under control at 8:06 PM.
According to Senior Fire Officer 1 Hoover Moral of the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP)-National Capital Region (NCR), initial reports locate the fire at a residential area near the Golden Mosque. It was reported that the fire started at the second floor of a house; the cause of which is still unknown as of press time.
BFP estimated damage to property at P2M. The latter adds that 200 families were affected and around 100 houses were burned.
Last month (March 1), Quiapo was also razed by fire. The fire hit a residential and commercial area along Arlegui Street in Quiapo, Manila. It took firefighters around three hours to put the fire out of control. The fire was declared out at 9:18 p.m of the same day.
