President Rodrigo Duterte and Vice President Leni Robredo are expected to attend Cabinet meeting together for the first time on Monday.
According to Presidental Spokesperson Ernesto Abella, the president is expected to attend the meeting while the vice president confirmed to show up, said Robredo’s spokesperson Georgina Hernandez on Sunday. Hernandez added that they are finalizing the vice president’s schedule for Monday’s Cabinet meeting and that Robredo is set to fly from Lanao province to Manila on Sunday for a meeting at her office in Quezon City.
[Her having a position as the chairperson of HUDCC (Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council), we think is not only for the sector she is serving but she will definitely have a more active part in the administration of President Duterte.]
Hernandez said that they are still looking through the structure of the HUDCC organization and the government agencies that are part of it, mentioning the National Housing Authority and Pag-Ibig.
Robredo thanked Duterte on Thursday after she was offered the position in the HUDCC post.
(There is more to serve our countrymen without homes and we can continue our promise to push for progress and development for our poor countrymen.)
The HUDCC post was also appointed to incumbent vice president Jejomar Binay in the Aquino administration. - AA, Kami Media
