Exactly a week after assuming the top military position, Armed Forces chief of staff Gen. Ricardo Visaya is awarded his fourth star on Friday, July 8.
The donning of ranks was presided by Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana at Camp Aguinaldo, where Visaya was given full military honors.

Visaya is the 48th AFP chief of staff. He graduated from the Philippine Military Academy as part of the Class of 1983.
He previously served as the commander of the Southern Luzon Command in Quezon Province.
On the same day, Visaya was also awarded the Aviator's Gold Wings at the Philippine Air Force headquarters in Pasay.
