TV host and comedian Arnell Ignacio decided to accept the post offered to him with the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR).
This was confirmed by a text message from Presidential Communications Secretary Martin Andanar on Friday afternoon, July 8.
Arnell Ignacio announced in a Facebook post on Friday that he was chosen as assistant vice president of the Community Relation and Services Department of PAGCOR.

“PAGCOR isn’t all about gaming. As the AVP of the community relation and services department of Pagcor, we will be taking massively funded steps to improve health services, comprehensive feeding programs, completion of school buildings etc. No area will be too far from our helping hand,” he said.
The comedian also helped President Rodrigo Duterte in campaigning during the May 9 National Elections.
"To the President, Chairman Andrea Domingo and the Filipino people hindi kayo magsisisi (you will not regret this). My wholehearted appreciation for the trust you have given me," he said.
He also expressed his thanks to his daughter, employees, and his future boss for the chance while he was in the gym expelling extra adrenalin.
The Filipinos were also shocked when President Duterte finally appointed Vice President Maria Leonora “Leni” Robredo as the head of the Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council (HUDCC).
“Nagpapasalamat tayo kay Presidente Rodrigo Duterte na itinalaga tayo bilang tagapangulo ng Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council,” she said.

“Mas paglilingkuran natin ang ating mga kababayang walang tahanan at maipagpatuloy natin ang ating pangakong itulak ang kaunlaran at kaginhawaan para sa ating mga kapus palad na kababayan,” the vice president added.
