61-year-old Rick Nelson was walking his dog, like he usually does every single day, when he suddenly saw the bear’s cub. Being a former bear hunter he defiantly knew that he only got a few seconds to save himself because there’s always the mother near baby bears.
"The mother was coming full speed," he said. "All you could hear was the bush crashing." When the bear appeared in front of him and got up on hind legs Nelson had no weapon with him – not even a simple stick or a rock. But lucky he did a lot of boxing in his past.
So Rick stabbed the bear but missed, hitting it in the teeth. Then mother-bear hit back and scratched across his face and the chest. Nelson understood that he only had one more shot to take and used this opportunity. He punched the cub in the snout with the right hand. That was defianetly the moment of truth – life or death situation.
But suddenly the bear let out squeal and slowly started to move away. That’s when Nelson understood that he was the luckiest living man on the planet. So he remained alive escaped only with a few scratches.
