This season of Pinoy Big Brother will have a new twist as the housemates will not be housed in the Big Brother’s house here in the Philippines. Rather, they will be brought to Vietnam where they will spend several weeks. This is a first for the reality TV show.
However, three of the five celebrity housemates encountered their first challenge after they were put on hold by the immigration due to issues with their visas and immigration cards.
Only McCoy de Leon, Nikko Natividad, Yassi Pressman were able to fly to Vietnam.
Jinri Park,, Juan Karlos Labajo, and an unknown hunk housemate arrived in Vietnam at around 1 o’clock in the morning Wednesday after they were cleared by the immigration.
On the other hand, model Hideo Muraoka, DJ Chacha, young actress Elisse Joson, and Nonong Ballinan are the latest celebrities who will be part of this season’s PBB.
These four additions will be joining those who are already in Vietnam and will also spend several weeks in the neighboring country.
According to Direk Laurenti Dyogi, choosing to house the housemates in Vietnam will give the reality show a fresher look and a new perspective. He is aware that because of the length of the reality show, the audience seem to know the routine. He further explained that they chose Vietnam due to its history with the Philippines.
He said that the two countries (Philippines and Vietnam) have shared ad continue to share a lot of things and similarities, including the weather, some of the fruits, and even the plants, among others. He also said that Vietnam is the safest choice to have the PBB season 7.
PBB season 7, dubbed as the Lucky season, will start airing on July 11 on ABS-CBN. More surprises await both the housemates and the audience as the airing day is drawing near.
