A 53 year old man died after being punched by his son on the streets of Brisbane.
Mark English fell into a coma after being struck down by the hand of his own son on Monday, and died the next day in hospital.
Morgan Isles-English, 25, was arrested and charged with grievous bodily harm. Reports state that father and son haven’t talked for four years before the incident.
English senior was knocked out from the punch and fell back hitting his head on the boardwalk, where he lay face down, while his partner tried to perform first aid until the ambulance arrived. He was instantly taken to the hospital where doctors put him into a medically induced coma. He died the following dead.
The son, Morgan Isles-English, fled the scene of the attack but was arrested and charged on Monday night.
The next day in court he was crying and hitting his head against the glass. Before being dragged into court he told his mom that he loves her. His mother told him “I love you!”; she refused to give any commentary when approached outside the courthouse.
The young man’s lawyer asked for the case to be adjourned and didn’t give any more comments on the case.
