'Yan ang Morning!' talk show host Marian Rivera revealed that she is planning to take a break from her regular television now that her daughter, Maria Letizia Dantes, Zia for short, is almost a year old.
During an interview on Tuesday, the actress-host told her management that her daughter is her number one priority and that she wants to witness Zia’s toddler years.
(It’s not uncommon that when you get married, it's automatic that you’ll also have a child. I talked to my management and I was very honest in saying that my priority is to build a family and my dream is to have a child.)
Rivera also said that she only agreed to have her morning show extended but is sure to take a break after the show’s four-week extension. She added that she may not get into another teleserye for a while.
So sabi ko, palakihin ko muna ‘yung anak ko and then after niyan, doon pwede na ulit sumabak,” she said.
(I extended for another four weeks but after that I said I’ll rest first because it’s hard to have another soap. My child is growing up. At this stage, I can’t stand leaving her. I leave the house, Zia’s asleep. When I go home, she’s also asleep. That hurts for me. So, I said I’ll raise my child first and then after that, I can enter showbiz again.)
The Kapuso star also shared how grateful she is to Kris Aquino, for making her first TV appearance in her talk show after going on a two-month vacation. Kris’ TV guesting include several segments – interview, cooking demonstration, and flower arrangement.
The Queen of All Media left for the United States shortly after the May elections. She was joined by her two sons during the trip.
Thankful kami sa kanya,” she said.
(To have a chance to interview the one and only Kris Aquino is a great honor for our show and she really granted my request for her to guest [on my show]. When she returned, I think her first appearance was with our show. We’re truly grateful for her.)-IS, Kami Media
