HIGHLIGHT: Actress Rita Avila-Reyes sent Pope Francis a special coloring book, her very own "The Invisible Wings". To date, she has received second letter from the Pope through an official of the Vatican Secretariat of State.
Rita Avila, married to director Erick Reyes, was in sheer joy and shared Pope Francis' letter to her via Instagram. The Pope through Monsignor Peter B. Wells expressed gratitude to the actress who sent her second book, The Invisible Wings, but a coloring version of it to Pope Francis.
The children's book like her first two books espouses good values. She said that her communications with the Pope has also touched her after several years of coping up with the lost of her first baby with husband.
"Tinuturo niya na ang paghihirap ay laging nakikita ng Panginoon at sinusuklian niya tayo, (He teaches us that God sees our sufferings and He gives us something in return for it ." she explained.
She was also in awe that the Pope gives importance to people.
The book Avila sent was the first few copies of the Invisible Wings. It is now for sale and published by St. Pauls Publishing and Mindmaster Publishing House.
She also sent her first book 8 Ways to Comfort with Grace, an inspirational book which she wrote after her three-week old son succumbed to heart ailment in 2006.
