- ABS-CBN’s Sunday late night show Gandang Gabi Vice has featured a myriad of guests, including high-ranking political officials
- Vice President Leni Robredo will be in the show’s fifth anniversary special
- It is not yet confirmed if her appearance will push through
Speaking to ABS-CBN reporter Gretchen Fullido, comedian Vice-Ganda will apparently have Vice President Leni Robredo for the upcoming fifth anniversary special of his show, ‘Gandang Gabi Vice’.
Since Vice President Leni Robredo has assumed position, some netizens have touted her as the real Vice ‘Ganda’.
He did not give more details about the Vice President’s appearance, but if it does happen, the newly-sworn in VP isn’t the first high-ranking politician to have graced the show.
During the start of 2015, the comedian was able to go inside Malacañang grounds to interview then-President Benigno ‘Noynoy’ Aquino III.
The current citizen Noy shared to viewers his evaluation of some of his former Cabinet members and also sampled a song that he thought best fitted his term (Freddie Aguilar’s ‘Estudyante Blues’). He also admitted that Grace Lee was his girlfriend during that time.
By the middle of last year, the former Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte appeared on the show to talk about matters of the heart – his love life and his thoughts on homosexuality and same-sex marriage. He even serenaded an audience member with Sharon Cuneta’s ‘Ikaw’.
GGV, which the show is usually called, also had senators as guests over the years.
In 2014, Senator Antonio Trillianes’ video of doing push-ups over the comedian went viral.
However, it is still uncertain if the Vice President’s appearance on the show will push through. The original source of the news, the online news platform of ABS-CBN, has deleted the article earlier today.
