6 Arrests In Cotabato Shabu Raid

Anti-narcotics agents on Wednesday busted six alleged drug traffickers in a depressed area. Authorities say they use the area as a distribution base for 'shabu' (methamphetamine hydrochloride).

The office of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) of the Autonomous Region of Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) said that they identified the suspects as one Judith Santos Anton, Norasia Ambit Abag, Nida Namilintaw Usan, Ismael Anas, Datu Nor Ismael, and Nor Hamid. The said suspects are now under arrest by the PDEA.

The suspects were busted in a PDEA raid in their hideout at Barangay Rosary Heights. The PDEA was able to nab them through informants.

PDEA ARMM has said that they have been monitoring their activities for a long time now because of consistent reports from neighbors about drug trafficking.

The suspects will be charged with violation of the Philippine Dangerous Drugs Act over the 'shabu' and drug paraphernalia found in their hideout.
