In honor of the country's third Miss Universe, the Philippine Coastal Corporation will release limited edition stamps this April 2016 with Pia Wurtzbach as the focus.

The stamp will have the photo of Pia when she was crowned as Miss Universe. There will be two versions of the stamp. According to pageant site Sash Factor, PHLPost will issue 101,000 pieces of regular stamps, costing P15 per piece. On the other hand, 5,000 pieces of souvenir sheets will be released, worth P40 per piece.

PHLPost issues stamps in commemoration of various exemplary achievements of Filipinos around the world no matter what the field. The most defining factor for choosing to issue stamps like these is if they brought honor to the country.

Before, it also issued special stamps to honor Manny Pacquiao, Miss Universe 1969 Gloria Diaz, and Miss Universe 1973 Margarita Moran, as well as Miss World 2013 Megan Young. This list is known as the PHLPost's 'Living Legends' list.

Aside from the presidents of the Philippines, Pia is only the fifth Filipino to be issued a stamp of her own.
