- June 30 is the last day of work for Vice President Jejomar Binay
- Binay chose to spend his last remaining hours as VP with the Vice Presidential Security Group in the Coconut Palace
- He and the members of the said group became emotional when he said his speech
Jejomar Binay recently had a boodle fight with his security group at the Coconut palace in Manila, according to his son and dismissed Makati City Mayor Jejomar Erwin “Junjun” Binay Jr.
Junjun said that his father expressed his gratefulness for both the men and women who went beyond their ways to protect the VP and his family for six long years.
After delivering a speech for them, Binay started crying.
“Before the boodle fight, nag-speech siya, pero wala pa yatang one minute. Nagpasalamat lang siya tapos naiyak siya. Nag-iyakan ‘yung mga tao, ‘yung mga security, lalo na ‘yung mga babae,” said Junjun.
(Before the boodle fight, he gave a speech, but it lasted for less than a minute only. He gave them his thanks then he cried. His security people cried also, especially the women.)
“Nung kumakain na, nagkukuwentuhan sila saan maa-assign. Tapos nagpaaalam na 'yung mga officers niya,” added Junjun.
(While they were eating, there discussed about where they would be assigned. Then the officers said goodbyes.)
