The political party of Vice President Jejomar Binay, the United Nationalist Alliance (UNA), warns the public about “trending surveys”. The political party said that the public should not believe the surveys because they are fake. According Joey Salgado, Communications Director of UNA, it is not true that the presidential race has narrowed to a two-way race because the competition for presidency is still tight.
Salgada further said that the truth is that there is still no clear winner at this point and that the public should be very discerning because of the number of surveys coming out days before the election.
Salgada earlier questioned one of the surveys which was conducted in the middle of Holy Week. He said that surveys are not supposed to be held during such sacred period because the public is either busy practicing their faith or enjoying their vacation.
Instead, the UNA spokesperson insists that what is more important than the result of the surveys is the effort exerted by Binay to hear and solve the problems of the poor. The capability and experience of the candidates are the only important factors at this point, Salgada add.
