Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio spent her day at KidZania Manila located at Park Triangle in Bonifacio Global City two days before she and her siblings attend their father’s inauguration ceremony.
Sara has landed in Manila yesterday afternoon while her mother Elizabeth Zimmerman and eldest son Vice Mayor Paolo Duterte arrived before noon. President-elect’s grandchildren are also in Manila for the ceremony.
Sara decided to spend the afternoon at KidZania Manila together with her brother Paolo and their respective kids. While Sara refused to hold interviews with the media, she was still courteous and kidnd enough to wave at them.
The family was provided with a black van by the Supreme Court.
KidZania is a place for kids. Its goal is to provide children with a sneak peek of how the real world feels like. There are different attractions for kids in KidZania, such as interactive role play center and CongreZZ, which allows kids to take on leadership roles.
As of present, there are about 70 establishments within KidZania that offers at least 100 activities for kids to enjoy.
“This is part of its continuing commitment to raise awareness on the value of role-play among school children and their parents,” a report states.
Meanwhile, Veronica or "Kitty" will also be present on Thursday’s ceremony. She is the youngest child of the incoming president through common-law wife Honeylet Avanceña. Kitty will be holding the Bible that will be used for the ceremony. The Bible means a lot for Duterte as it belongs to his late mother Soledad.
There are exactly 150 guests invited to attend the President-elect’s inaugural. This guests include donors, select supporters, and of course the family.
The inaugural menu is also nothing fancy. Reports have it that the official food for June 30’s event include durian tartlet, mongo soup, pan de sal and white cheese, longganisa, banana fritters, and lumpiang ubod. Mango and dalandan juices will also be served.
