This viral video is proof that kids don’t need expensive toys as gifts – sometimes a banana or an onion is enough to keep them happy.
Three-year-old Louie and his younger sister Connie are getting their Christmas gifts early.
Their dad, Tim Cocker, 33-year-old radio DJ from Manchester, tells them that for their good behavior they will be receiving their Christmas gifts early this year.
Before handing out the wrapped presents, he asks his children what they desire for Christmas.
“A Ben10 watch!” claims Louie. “Barbie Princess King Ken” says Connie.
When they unwrap the presents that were handed to them, the children show no signs of disappointment. The little girl thanks her father for the pumpkin, which is actually an onion, and the boy seems to be pleased with his banana. Connie says she’s hoping for a ‘Barbie Princess and King Ken’ while Louie is set on a Ben 10 watch.
Charmingly, both kids show their delight at what they actually get with Louie announcing ‘I’ve got a banana Daddy’ before Connie says thanks for her ‘pumpkin’.
This is what the father had to comment on the video:
“I knew they weren’t going to have a tantrum. It’s not in their nature. They’re happy kids. But I wasn’t expecting them to be as happy with vegetables! I was a bit choked up to be honest. I was really proud.”
