- Oscar Menjivar-Herrera is being hunted by the police for sexually assaulting minors
- The rapist lured the girls by using a 12-year-old boy as his personal pimp
- The boy has been captured but the main suspect is still at large
The Nebraskan police are currently on the lookout for a fugitive wanted for raping three girls, who was helped by a 12-year-old boy.
Oscar Menjivar-Herrera, the pedophile rapist, sexually assaulted three girls – two 14-year-olds and a 12-year-old. The accessory to the crime is already in custody of the police but the mastermind is still at large.
Menjivar-Herrera was arrested on 2012, but has escaped since. Police believed that the suspect-at-large has already fled the U.S. and went to El Salvador.
"I also think, given enough time, he might try to come back to the U.S with a new identity and try to start life over," Deputy U.S. Marshal Shane Knopp told CNN.
The authorities were also shocked when they found out that the rapist used a young boy in luring the victims.
"In all my years I'd never seen such a case where a grown man was using another child to help lure other victims in," Nebraska police officer Derek Bees said.
Menjivar-Herrera lured his victims by befriending them on social media and telling them he was 18 years old. He set up a friendly meeting to meet them and also told them that he would bring a 12-year-old boy with him. The suspect also made the girls promise that if someone caught them together, the victims would have to say that they were meeting the young boy.
"Oscar used this 12-year-old boy as kind of his pimp to meet young girls --- 12-to-14-year-old girls," Bees explained.
