Lawyers sympathizing the cause of the Kidapawan rallyists will file criminal, civil, and administrative charges against the governor of North Cotabato as well as the provincial police commander, said an Inquirer report.
A team of at least 10 lawyers, from the National Union of Peoples’ Lawyers (NUPL),Union of Peoples’ Lawyers in Mindanao (UPLM) and others, are preparing to file charges against Gov. Emmylou Taliño-Mendoza and police Supt. Alex Tagum.
The charges aim to hold the local government responsible over the deaths of at least three rallyists as well as the injuries of many others.

But they are not the only ones who wish to take the issue to court. According to Sun Star Davao, PNP earlier filed cases against 43 protesters for alleged economic sabotage, illegal assembly, harassment and obstruction to traffic flow.
