Sarah Geronimo Leaves Coaching In 'The Voice Kids PH'
The Pop Princess will no longer the third season of The Voice Kids Philippines. She confirmed in an ABS-CBN interview that she plans to focus more in her career growth. She wants to focus on strengthening her talents as an artist rather than coaching, a role she sometimes still feels hesitant especially when she's giving criticisms and advice to encourage the participants.
On Monday, Sarah renewed her contract with ABS-CBN for another two years. She thanked VIVA Artists Agency and ABS-CBN for understanding her decision to pursue her career growth.
In the previous seasons of the Voice, she, along with Bamboo and Lea Salonga, are coaches for the kids competition. Sarah's two mentees, Lyca Gairanod and Darren Espanto, emerged as the winner and runner-up, respectively, in the first season of the The Voice Kids PH.
Sarah did not say who will replace her for the role of coach for the third season of the show.
She did remain open about returning to future seasons of the show. "Sobrang masaya naman talaga and fun 'yung experience, especially doing it with the kids. 'Yun talaga ang the best. Baka po next season, why not, kung gusto pa rin nila ako maging coach?" she said.
Sarah said that she wanted to focus more on ASAP and do a movie, while teleseryes are off her plans. According to her: "Hopefully po makakakuha ako ng pelikula na talagang mai-in love ako, mai-inspire akong gawin, hindi 'yung parang, 'Sige, gawin natin para lang may pelikula ka."
