As the incoming President Rodrigo Duterte prepares for his inauguration on June 30, his partner Honeylet Avanceña said in an interview that there will be no other woman to take the position of First Lady other than herself.
"May iba pa ba siya ng kasama sa bahay? Alam ko pareho kami ng tinitirahan (Does he has other companion at home? I believe we live under the same roof)," Avanceña told GMA News.
Despite of him indicating as 'Single' in his certificate of candidacy, he lives with his common-law wife, Cieleto "Honeylet" with their daughter Veronica.
The president-elect was married to German-American Elizabeth Zimmerman whom he has three children with – Sarah, Paolo, and Sebastian. However, their marriage was annulled due to infidelity Duterte did not deny.
During the campaign period, Duterte was interviewed regarding who will be the First Lady to which he said he will have two First Ladies.
Avanceña said during the interview that instead of speculating on who will be Duterte's First Lady, it would be best to just wait for the inauguration of her partner.
As a nurse, Avanceña said that her advocacy would be for the welfare of the Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) and Filipino nurses.
"Nandito na ako eh, wala na akong magagawa, (I am already here, there is nothing else to do about it)" she added.
Just like the crime-busting politician, Avanceña said she prefers to stay in Davao City instead of living in Malacañang for the next six years.
Meanwhile, Duterte's youngest daughter, Sarah said in a separate interview that she is also ready to fulfill her duties as a presidential daughter.
