Four men who were allegedly high ranked officials of the New People's Army (NPA) were arrested in Butuan City, Agusan del Norte on Thursday, as per reports on Friday.
Reports show that the four suspected rebels were neutralized by a corraborative efforts of the police and the military. According to our sources, the alleged high ranking rebels were pinned down by the joint forces of the police and the military in an operation that targetted an NPA safe house in Butuan City.
According to the government forces involved, they were able to recover assorted firearms, ammunition, explosives, and subversive documents from the scene of the operation.
The four suspects were brought to Camp Rodriguez, Butuan City, facing multiple charges, including frustrated murder, robbery, attempted murder, frustrated homicide, homicide, and violation of the Comelec gun ban during the election season.
