Singer Vina Morales officially filed a complaint last Friday at the San Juan City Prosecutor's Office last Friday against Cedric Lee, her former boyfriend and father of her daughter.
According to the Morales Camp, Lee allegedly violated a court-approved visitation agreement and "forcibly” detained their daughter Ceana.
"Cedric detained my daughter Ceana forcibly without my permission for 9 days while I was away, and violated the court-approved visitation rights every Saturday," Morales, 40, told Pep.
"I have been quiet about it but since people are asking me now, I have to tell the truth. Ceana was handed to my family at the court last May 23. She is only seven years old and was confused with what happened and a bit traumatized."
The following day, actress Shaina Magdayao, who is Morales' sister, posted a photo with Ceana on Instagram, saying that she was happy to have Ceana back after a "stressful week."
Morales had refused to say anything about the issue before; however, she claims that she is now ready to fight for Ceana.
"Kung noon hindi ako lumalaban at tahimik ako ay dahil iniisip ko ang anak ko (Before, I stayed silent and didn’t fight because I was thinking about Ceana). Ngayon, handa na akong lumaban para sa anak ko (Now, I am ready to fight for her). May hangganan din ang pambu-bully niya (Lee) sa akin at sa pamilya ko (There is an end to all the bullying he is doing to me and my family)," Morales added.
Morales is currently on vacation with current boyfriend Marc Lambert when the incident happened.
The first hearing is set on June 8.
As a bit of history, Lee and Morales broke up in 2009. Morales has been in the entertainment industry since 1986. Morales was born as Sharon Magdayao on October 17, 1975.
