"A jeepney in New York, baby!" is Pinoy loud and proud once again as he paraded around New York City on a Philippine-made Sarao jeepney on the first Sunday of June.

To commemorate the Philippine Independence Day on the 12th, the rapper showed New Yorkers the traditional Pinoy vehicles in their streets as part of the Independence Day parade.

Apl shared more videos of the Independence Day parade on his Instagram account.

The Fil-Am rapper had been an active advocate of promoting the Filipino culture through his songs and other efforts.

The blue and yellow jeepney is a project he had collaborated with the Tourism Promotions Board, in charge of the It's More Fun in the Philippines campaign.

"Thank you to everyone that made it out in the rain and all of our friends that flew in to join me on this day of independence!!" said the member of Black Eyed Peas in one of his social media posts.

Legally named as Alan Pineda Lindo, Apl graced the annual event at the Madison Square Garden as one of the distinguished performers.
