Do you approve of this anti-cheating method for the students?
We’ve all taken exams at one point in our lives, either it’s for an entrance exam, diagnostic exam, licensure exam, or the periodic exam that we’re so anxious to finish. We also have different attacks on how to prepare and answer these; there are those studious people who study the book cover to cover and then there are those who don’t study at all. They just cheat.
To prevent cheating from happening in school, teachers have become more vigilant in checking the students during exams. As the teachers become more strict, students have also come up with new ways to cheat including putting cheat sheets on their pens, shoes, and wherever they can fit their stuff. Some are just really that good in sneaking glances at their seatmate’s papers.
One particular school in the Philippines has come up with the ultimate solution to the cheating problems.
La Immaculada Concepcion School located in Pasig City is a nonsectarian private school that teaches preschool kids up to high school.
That Philippine school has a unique way of making sure that no student from their classes will be able to cheat.
In a photo they posted on their Facebook page, it shows students serious in answering their exams. The only difference it has with other pictures like these is that they’re all wearing blue cardboards on their heads preventing them from seeing on their left and right sides.
The photo went immediately viral being shared on Facebook and it was even featured in 9gag.com, which is one of the most shared and viewed website for funny memes and pictures among many other websites.
Some netizens have laughed at the image, and some applauded it because it’s effective. There are also netizens, however, who voiced out there disapproval on doing this to kids.
Do you think this anti-cheating method is a just one or should this be banned?
