The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) revealed on Wednesday that there are celebrities and famous personalities visiting the Parañaque condominium unit found to have a kitchen-type illegal drug laboratory.
“We receive information na may mga pumupunta doon na celebrities (We receive information that there are celebrities visiting the condominium unit). This is still subject of an investigation as part of our mandate,” Atty. Joel Tovera, chief of the NBI Anti-Illegal Drugs Division, told the media.
The NBI conducted the buy-bust operation in the posh Parañaque condominium unit on Tuesday where they were able to arrest five people allegedly involved in distributing and selling drugs during the “CloseUp Forever Summer” concert held in Pasay two weeks ago where five concert attendees died.
The arrested suspects were Seergeoh Villanueva Erica Valbuena, Thomas Halili, Marc Deen, and Martin Dimacali, ages 20 to 33 years old. Tovera said that the suspects all seem to have come from well-off families and that some of their clients are celebrities and famous personalities.
The NBI team that conducted the buy-bust operation found several illegal drugs such as ecstasy, cocaine and marijuana. Enhancer pills with green amore content – a lethal combination of ecstasy and methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu – were also found in the Parañaque City condominium unit.
Authorities also seized pink ecstasy tablets mixed with a chemical substance called methylene homolog which is lethal for humans.
The interrogation of the five suspects also showed that all of them were present at the Pasay summer concert party that took place on May 21.
They were charged for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2003 for the manufacture, sale, and possession of dangerous drugs, also known as Republic Act 9165. Joshua Habalo was also arrested by the NBI during the weekend for allegedly peddling drugs during the concert party.
