Jane Malicse, the mother of three-year-old child who was raped and murdered in Banay-banay, Davao Oriental calls on President-elect Rodrigo Duterte to impose death penalty on the rapist and killer.
(We only have one plea to President Duterte; that is for him to continue to re-impose the death penalty.)
(I want everyone to see what he did to my daughter. I want him to feel it. I want him to experience not just death by hanging. Before he dies, I want him to suffer.)
Eduardo Agoncillo, 51 year old, is the suspect in the rape and murder of the child Wednesday last week. Reports say that he dumped the child’s dead body in a ditch near the victim’s house.
Mariano Paulin, the child’s grandfather, cannot believe that the suspect can do such a thing as he is their neighbor.
(He has been our neighbor for a long time already. That’s why we cannot believe it. But because of the evidence, we now believe that he is indeed responsible from the time the child cannot be found to the time her body is found. He was the one who pointed to us where the child is.)
Paulin said that Agoncillo is likely to be under the influence of drugs when the incident happened.
In a media conference last Tuesday, the incoming President condemned the incident.
“Gusto ninyo kapag na-implement ‘yan hanap ako ng media, for show para matignan natin kung paano mamatay ang tao sa hanging,” he said.
(If you want, if death penalty is already implemented, I’ll ask the media for show so we can see how one can die from hanging.)
