Pilipinas Got Talent Judge Robin Padilla visited Kidapawan protesters yesterday, promising to bring back the farmers' concern to Manila.
According to a report from GMA News Online, Padilla assured the survivors of the alleged dispersal that he came as a Filipino, without any aspirations to be a politician.
(My beloved fellow Filipinos, I'm not here because I'm a politician. I would like you to remember that I would never enter politics. I'm not here to ask for your votes. I'm here because I'm a Filipino. The things that happen to you shouldn't happen to a Filipino. The law should always side with the victims.)
He also personally bought 200 sacks of rice, while promising that his friends pledged to donate for more rice.
The farmers demand the release of the government approved 15, 000 sacks of rice to survive this season of El Niño, according to lusang Magbubukid ng Pilipinas.
