The Armed Forces of the Philippines has taken to social media to congratulate Beatrice Luigi Gomez.
This was after the 26-year-old beauty queen from Cebu City, who is also a part of the Philippine Navy Reserve Unit, was crowned as the Miss Universe Philippines 2021 last night, September 30 in Bohol.
According to AFP’s Facebook page, is assigned at the Naval Reserve Center in Eastern Visayas.
“The Armed Forces of the Philippines congratulates Reserve Marine Corporal Beatrice Luigi Gomez for being crowned as the 2021 Miss Universe Philippines. Marine Corporal Gomez of Cebu City is assigned at the Naval Reserve Center - Eastern Visayas,” it posted.

Aside from the pageant's crown, Beatrice also brought home special awards, including Best in Evening Gown and Best in Swimsuit.

Beatrice Luigi Gomez became well-known after winning the Miss Universe Philippines 2021 pageant. The Cebu representative bested well-known candidates such as Asia's Next Top Model season 5 winner Maureen Wroblewitz and and forner PBB housemate Kisses Delavin. She is also a proud member of the LGBTQIA+ community and has a girlfriend named Kate Jagdon.
Aside from Beatrice, the top 10 finalists of the Miss Universe Philippines 2021 pageant included Kirsten Danielle Delavin, Maureen Christa Wroblewitz, Janela Joy Cuaton, Steffi Rose Aberasturi, Maria Corazon Abalos, Maria Ingrid Teresita Santamaria, Leren Mae Bautista, Victoria Velasquez Vincent, and Katrina Jayne Dimaranan.
Beatrice recently got a special message from her girlfriend, Kate Jagdon. Kate expressed on Instagram how proud she is of Beatrice for winning Miss Universe Philippines 2021. The beauty queen was also praised by Kate for being authentic, as she openly supported the LGBTQIA+ community. She also thanked all of the people who helped and supported Beatrice throughout her journey.
