Cristy Fermin once again tackled about Gretchen Barretto who recently became the talk of the town because of the goods she sent to people in showbiz industry.

In the September 30 episode of Cristy Ferminute, the talk show host said that the rice being distributed by Gretchen’s team came from the farms of the actress' good friend, Atong Ang.

“Ganito pala ang kwento, hindi pala ito binibili ni Gretchen o kung binibili man, may parte siya do'n kumbaga. Ito pala ay inaani sa mga palayan ni Ginoong Atong Ang, karamihan sa Mindoro,” Nanay Cristy revealed.

“E super yaman naman ni AA ano... 'Yun siguro 'yung inaangkat ni Gretchen at ipinamamahagi naman sa mga taga-industriya.”

Nanay Cristy, who seemed to be one of its recipients, went on to describe the said rice.

“Galing pala 'yon sa farm ni AA, ni Mr. Atong Ang. Kaya pala ang sarap din. Maputi, malambot, masarap.”

Gretchen Barretto is a well-known actress in the Philippines and the sister of actresses Claudine and Marjorie Barretto. She has been in a relationship with business tycoon Tonyboy Cojuangco for 27 years now but the latter is still legally married to Denise Yabut, his first wife.

Tali Sotto was among the celebrity kids who recently received goodies from Gretchen Barretto. Pauleen Luna took to her Instagram Stories to post a video of baby Tali receiving the box of delectable goods. The said box contains a huge lollipop, chocolates and biscuits, among others. In the video, baby Tali furthermore expressed her gratitude to Gretchen for her generosity.

Gretchen has also gained positive remarks from Lolit Solis due to her generosity. According to Manay Lolit, the veteran actress gave an enormous donation to her program together with Cristy Fermin and Mr. Fu, ‘Take it Per Minute, Me Ganun!’ Manay Lolit said their program will give away one sack of rice every week donated by Gretchen. The entertainment columnist then could not help calling Gretchen “darling of the press”, “kaibigan ng showbiz”, and “hero ng pandemya”.
