Andrea Brillantes bared her soul on her recent vlog on her popular YouTube channel.
KAMI learned that Andrea bravely shared during the new episode that she got badly bullied at school when she was younger.
The bullies at school mocked her and called her “higad” or caterpillar because of her thick eyebrows.
Because of the bullying she experienced, Andrea became shy and was hesitant to approach people.

“Ako 'yung nabu-bully lagi sa school. Lagi nilang tinatawag na higad ako, kasi nga sa kilay ko, tsaka kasi ako 'yung pinakamaliit...
“Wala akong friends, as in pagpasok ko pa lang sa school, nursery pa lang, wala na akong friends. Hindi nila ako sinasali sa laro nila, lagi lang akong nasa corner. Ako 'yung ganung bata dati," she shared.
However, she was able to slowly overcome her issues with shyness and improve her personality so that she could socialize more and not be misinterpreted as a snob.
“Pero ngayon winork out ko na 'yung personality ko kasi nami-misinterpret 'yung pagiging mahiyain ko sa pagiging maldita.
"Yung wall ko medyo bine-break ko na siya. Kahit maraming masamang tao hindi dapat 'yun maging dahilan para baguhin mo 'yung pagiging mabait mo,” Andrea explained.
Andrea Brillantes is a popular young actress, vlogger and endorser in the Philippines. She is also a part of The Gold Squad with Francine Diaz, Kyle Echarri and Seth Fedelin. Those four young stars got together and became close after starring in the hit ABS-CBN teleserye, “Kadenang Ginto.”
