Expressions of sympathies poured in from famous Pinoy celebrities for the family of celeb photographer, Raymund Isaac, after he succumbed to COVID-19 on September 4 in San Francisco, California.

According to a report by Rappler, the celeb photographer was rushed there on July 24.

At the time, it was Raymund himself who posted on Facebook about his being admitted in a hospital in San Francisco because of “lack of oxygen.”

After that initial post, it was Raymund’s partner, Jayson Vicente, who continually posted updates on Facebook about the condition of the celeb photographer.

His family and friends, through FB updates, that Raymund was transferred on August 1 to the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit (ICU), and on August 6, doctors sedated and intubated him.

Raymund’s partner, on August 28, posted a hopeful update that the celeb photographer is stable, though he remained sedated and intubated in the hospital’s ICU.

After languishing several more days in the hospital, Raymund succumbed to the deadly disease on Saturday, September 4. He was 59 years old.

In a Facebook post, his younger brother, Edward Isaac, confirmed his brother’s passing.

“To those who prayed with us in different parts of the world for Raymund, thank you. He will be missed by many most of our family and those he touched,” the younger Isaac said.

In a report by Manila Bulletin, Raymund's partner, Jayson, changed his profile photo into black on the same date.

After hearing the news about Raymund’s passing, actress Angel Locsin took to Instagram and paid a tribute to the famous photographer.

“Isa kang alamat. Salamat sa iyong talento at kabaitan. My sincerest condolences sa mga mahal sa buhay na naiwan,” Angel wrote in her post.

The Inquirer also reposted the tribute of Popstar Sarah Geronimo for the late photographer on her IG Stories.

“We will miss you. We love you. Until we meet again,” Sarah wrote in the caption of the photo showing her and Raymund together in a shoot.

Broadway star Lea Salonga Agot Isidro likewise posted on her IG thanking Raymund for his kindness.

"I love you, Raymund, and thank you for your kindness through the years. Condolences to Jayson Vicente (@chocol8tman) and the whole Isaac clan. I hold you all in my heart," Lea wrote in her Instagram post.

Raymund Isaac is a famous celebrity photographer in the Philippines. He was born on June 28, 1962 and was widely known in the country as the first celebrity photographer. Isaac had published and compiled his works in a book named The Good Photographer. Some of the biggest showbiz stars in the Philippines that he photographed include Judy Ann Santos, Lea Salonga, Vilma Santos, and Piolo Pascual.

The deadly and highly infectious COVID-19 does not make a distinction between rich or poor, and famous or unknown. Recently, popular actress and comedienne Noemi Tesorero, more popularly known as Mahal, also succumbed to COVID-19. Her sister, Irene Tesorero, confirmed the cause of death of Mahal in a Facebook post. She said that there is no schedule yet for the burial of the comedienne due to COVID-19 restrictions. Mahal recently visited her long-time onscreen "partner" Mura and even signified that she would be helping him. She was also affected by the situation of Mura and said that she will be helping him.

Another Pinoy celebrity, the popular Dota caster Aldrin Paulo "Dunoo" also passed away due to COVID-19. Dunoo died on August 27 and the news was announced on Facebook by TNC Predator. He said that it was with a heavy heart that they announced the passing of one of their shoutcasters. Dunoo was also regarded as a Filipino casting legend, and was described by other casters as an amazing friend.
