In a report over GMA Network, the President also called out the senator for being overweight and asked him to go on a diet because he can’t stand his look.

In a subsequent interview with the Inquirer, Sen. Gordon dismissed the tirades of the President and just advised him to tell his officials to just answer the issue.

“Mr. President, I advise you as a friend, if you still consider me your friend, pasagot ninyo sa mga bata niyo yung issue. Bakit niyo tatawaging mataba ako?” Sen. Gordon said.

The senator then said he knows he is fat but when it comes to the question of who is good looking, he said he would win hands down against the president, adding that he is not afraid of the President’s personal attacks.

Sen. Gordon then remarked that people who resort to personal attacks are weak.

“You know why I forgive you? Because you go into personal attacks. That’s fine with me. Alam ko mahina ang tao na nagaatake nang personal,” Sen. Gordon said.

On the part of Sen. Lacson, the President called him out for his hairstyle, which he referred to as “hairdo.”

“Pati ‘yung buhok mo iba na ang hinapay. Lahat kayo, pati si Ping, iba ang hairdo,” Pres. Duterte said.

When asked for his reaction, Sen. Lacson said he does not know what the president is talking about.

“I don’t know what he’s talking about. I haven't changed the way i comb my hair long before he had lost his mind,” Sen. Lacson said.

The senator also took note of the incoherence and senseless adlibs of the President even in formal speeches.

“Many people I talked to have noticed his incoherence and senseless ad libs even in his formal addresses to the nation including the State of the Nation Address (SONA),” Sen. Lacson added.

In a report by Manila Bulletin, the President promised to expose some things about the senator in the coming days.

The Blue Ribbon Committee of the Philippine Senate is in charge of investigating alleged corruption in the government, wrongdoings of its officials and attached agencies. Senator Gordon is the chairperson of the said committee, which is composed of several senators including Senator Lacson.

About a month ago, President Rodrigo Roa Duterte also slammed a local chief executive of one of the LGUs in Metro Manila for ostensibly having a “disorganized mind” and trained like a “call boy." While he did not name the local chief executive, the President gave hints on who the Mayor might be. He said that the mayor dreamt to become the president of the Philippines and that he used to pose with scanty clothing and provocatively in front of the camera.

A week ago, the President might have also earned the ire of her daughter, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte. The mayor gave her father, President Duterte, and trusted aide, Senator Bong Go, a dressing-down for citing her in their future political plans. Earlier, Sara said she received communication from the President asking her to make Senator Bong Go her running-mate in case she runs for the highest post of the land next year. Another option presented to her by President Duterte, according to Mayor Sara, is for her to endorse a Go-Duterte tandem in 2022. Mayor Sara revealed that her recent meeting with her father was “not a pleasant event.”
