Lolit Solis penned a lengthy response to the celebrities and netizens who bashed her for revealing that Mark Herras asked P30,000 from her to help support his baby. Those netizens also criticized Lolit for getting angry at Mark for not having savings.

One of Lolit’s critics was RR Enriquez, who said that the showbiz writer should not have humiliated Mark especially during his time of need.
In the comments section of RR’s post, several celebrities commented on the issue, including Dianne, Zeinab, Kevin Balot, and Alyana Asistio. All of them agreed with RR that Lolit should have handled things privately.

In her response to her critics, Lolit defended herself, saying that she only revealed the story about Mark borrowing from her because of her frustration over his lack of savings despite being a well-known celebrity.
She explained that she and Mark always talk to each other frankly and that she was just giving her tough love to motivate him to work harder.
Lolit also told her critics that their reactions to her comments degraded Mark more than her initial revelation.
She also slammed her critics for using harsh words against her and for giving bad pieces of advice to Mark. According to Lolit, Mark might have lost his savings because of people who give him bad advice.
“Now dun sa mga akala mo makakatulong sa problema ni Mark na inaaway ako, halos murahin, ano ang point nyo?
“Naawa kayo? Bakit hindi kayo maging matalino at bigyan ng magandang advice si Mark. Alam nyo ba na ngayon ko naisip na siguro kaya nalaos at ganyan ngayon si Mark Herras dahil bad influence kayo sa kanya. Pag nagtanggol ka ng tao, gumamit ka ng utak at puso. Kung wala kang comprehension, at mababa IQ mo, huwag ka na lang magsalita. Sobrang baba ng IQ ng isang tao na dinadaan sa masamang salita ang galit niya. Umpisa pa lang, loser na.
“Kaya siguro nagkaganyan si Mark Herras dahil sa halip na magandang advice ang naibigay nyo, iyon babaw ng utak at galit sa puso nyo ang naibigay nyo sa kanya. I will say it honestly, na isa sa mga alaga ko na mahal ko si Mark Herras. Mabait siya, walang inggit sa katawan, at laging very optimistic ang tingin sa buhay. Kulang lang siya sa competitive spirit kaya pa easy easy lang, na naging setback niya.
“Now, nakakatuwa na meron nagtatanggol sa kanya, sana lang iyon sa magandang paraan.
