Benjamin Magalong, the Mayor of Baguio City, has confirmed that Arjo Atayde left the city despite being COVID positive.

"Nag-positive yung isang grupo na nag-shu-shooting dito, yung grupo nila Mr. Atayde. They committed to us na magkakaroon sila ng bubble, pero di nangyari," he revealed.

During the interview, KAMI learned that Mayor Magalong revealed that the group did not undergo a triage as well.

"Nagkataon pala na may mga tao sila na umuuwi sa lugar at pagbalik, hindi nagtri-triage. Yung monthly testing na commitment nila, hindi nagawa."

According to Mayor Magalong, out of 100 people in the group, 10 people tested positive for the deadly coronavirus.

While he and Arjo did have communication via text messages, Mayor Magalong said the actor left the city without their knowledge.

"Positive siya. Kaya lang bigla siya umalis kahapon without our knowledge, claiming na siya lang daw ang asymptomatic," he said.

Mayor Magalong added that the actor could potentially infect others with what he did, adding that he was in touch with him, only to find out that Arjo already left.

During his interview with RNG Luzon, Mayor Magalong revealed that no shooting will take place around the city for now.

Arjo Atayde is a versatile Kapamilya actor. Last year, he won Best Actor at the 2020 Asian Academy Creative Awards for his role in “Bagman”. He is the son of veteran actress Sylvia Sanchez and the boyfriend of Maine Mendoza.

Previously, Arjo Atayde made headlines when he donated service vehicles to the QC government amid speculations of his political aspirations.
