It can be recalled that the governor was quick to defend Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso when past photos showing the mayor scantily dressed surfaced on the Internet.

According to Gov. Remulla, the past of a person should not be made as measure to gauge his capability as a leader.

He said that the provocative photos of Mayor Isko was shot way before he joined government service as councilor, vice-mayor, and later as mayor.

In a tweet, the OWWA deputy administrator expressed her hope the governor would also defend others in the same manner when they’re being attacked because of their past.

“Sana Gov @jonvicremulla ganyan kayo sa lahat hindi lang sa kaalyado sa pulitika. Nasaan ka nuong binabatikos ang nakaraan ko? #DoubleStandard,” Mocha wrote in her tweet.

Earlier, President Rodrigo Roa Duterte hit at a local chief executive in the NCR for his alleged “disorganized” method in distributing financial aid and called him out for his provocative past photos.

Though the President did not name the local chief executive, many believe he was referring to Mayor Isko, as he was the only one within NCR who had a showbiz background and had posed provocatively for various photo shoots.

Mocha has also figured in other controversies, which included rumors of getting impregnated by actor Robin Padilla. The actor has addressed the issue, saying he respects Mocha because she is the “number one DDS.” He then said that he and Mocha will not do anything that would put the President to shame. He then stated that since both of them figured in a blind item, which denoted “mga sikat,” he felt proud since they were regarded as “sikat.”

The controversial government official also had several brushes with members of the media, particularly with GMA journo Arnold Clavio. Both had intense social media posts against each other. Their exchange of fiery remarks came after Senator Bong Go posted his photos with President Rodrigo Duterte amid claims that the President had mild heart attack. The GMA news anchor shared Instagram posts suggesting that those photos were fabricated. Mocha then took to her Facebook page to take a swipe at Arnold, which the Kapuso reporter immediately responded to.
