Pokwang had her own share of hurts, pains, sacrifices and trials in life.
When she guested in "Tunay na Buhay," she recalled the time that her son died while she was working in Abu Dhabi.
The comedienne tried to ask permission to go home, but her agency did not allow her to. Considering that she did not have any money.
She was only allowed to go home months after.

According to Pokwang, if she will go home, then she would have to pay for her travel expenses.
At the time though, she did not have any money.
It came to a point when she questioned God and her faith.
“Nakuwestiyon ko siya. Sabi ko, bakit mo ginawa sa akin ‘to? Meron po ba akong pagkukulang sa ’yo at sa kapwa ko? Sa pagkakaalam ko po wala. Kinuwestiyon ko siya which is hindi dapat.”
Despite the heartaches, Pokwang remained strong and continued to fight.
Now, she is a successful actress and has a great family.

She took to Instagram a video of her daughter, Malia, helping do the laundry. Malia seemed to enjoy doing the chore as if she really knew what she was doing. The celebrity mom wrote a funny caption instructing the little girl about doing other chores. Netizens found the video cute and praised Malia for what she was doing.
