On his Instagram page, the singer apologized for writing “#basurabakuna” in his previous post following the government’s announcement that Metro Manila will shift to the strictest enhanced community quarantine on August 6 to 20.

“I'm sorry for my #basurabakuna statement. I should have explained it. I do not question the efficacy of the vaccine. What i mean is 'the vaccinated' are not being validated w/ the lockdown having no distinction between vaxxed and non vaxxed. Yes I KNOW!!! You can still contract and transmit. But w/ out grave consequences right? I had the idea that we got vaccinated 'So that when we go out in public' we have adequate protection. I did not get vaxxed to stay home. All i'm asking for is consideration.”
