- The viral post stated that Hidilyn Diaz was a military officer and because of it, she can be court-martialed
Hidilyn Diaz has captured the attention of many netizens, which also brought old posts to their attention. One post, as Yahoo noted, was that of a popular blogger in the Philippines.
He started his post with, "MISS DIAZ, DON’T FORGET YOU’RE A MILITARY OFFICER."
After which, the body of the post was somewhat that of a warning, saying that Hidilyn "could be court-martialed, just like Antonio "Sonny" Trillanes IV."
He then said that the possible charge for Hidilyn would be "conduct unbecoming of an officer."
The blogger then dragged Hidilyn's father by saying, "Please remember that, especially since your father has been publicly seen wearing putschist Magdalo Group apparel, a fact that has already raised more than a few military eyebrows."
The Armed Forces of the Philippines did not take any step to court-martial the airwoman.
With her recent win, she has been promoted by the AFP to one rank higher than her present rank.
