Geneva Cruz enlightened and inspired many people through her brave and honest Instagram post.
KAMI learned that Geneva showed the difference in the way her body and skin look when using natural lights and when using artificial lights in photos.
The singer showed the comparison to inspire women, most especially mothers, to not feel bad about the changes in their bodies brought about by pregnancy and having children.
According to Geneva, all women who have given birth have imperfect skin, and that they sustained stretch marks, loose skin, linea negra and cellulite due to motherhood.
The star advised mothers to love and accept their “warrior marks” and urge people who like to bash women for the supposed “flaws” in their skin and body to stop being bullies.
“PLEASE READ, DON’T JUST LOOK AT THE PHOTOS.
“A photo using #Glamcor Lights (last photo) vs. Natural lights (1-3)
“Don’t be fooled by what you all see on social media. No mommy who has given birth has perfect skin or body while pregnant and after giving birth.
“My stomach, thighs, and abdomen are not as tight as it used to be, but it is stronger and more beautiful because of what it has been through.
“The #tigerstripes, #looseskin, #lineanegra, and #cellulite go hand-in-hand with pregnancy, but I wouldn’t be who I am today if not for those warrior marks. This is why moms in all shapes and sizes should support, not bash one another because we all fought the same fights while carrying our most precious gifts from God: our children.
“Oh, and by the way, before one of you starts bashing me again, I would just like to say this…
“People should stop looking at bodies as just representations of sex and being dirty; look at it on a deeper scale. I love and respect my body for everything that it has been through, not only because I’m happy with mine but because of its strength and uniqueness.
“And to those other women (most especially men) who make fun of women whose bodies have drastically changed because of pregnancy… shame on you. All of you are just a bunch of bullies. A woman needs only to be herself to be acceptable and lovable.
“A woman does not need to buy a thing to improve or change their irreplaceable, beautiful selves. Our scars, rolls, bones, pigmentations, big or small breasts, stretch marks, and wrinkles all tell a story — our own, unique stories.
“When everyone goes to sleep, we are stuck with ourselves. Let’s learn to love ourselves fully and deeply,” Geneva wrote on Instagram.
Geneva Cruz is one of the members of the famous showbiz Cruz clan. She is a cousin of Sunshine Cruz, Donita Cruz and Sheryl Cruz. She was also a member of the famous group the Smokey Mountain that was formed by Ryan Cayabyab.
She went viral months ago after she posted a collage of photos that showed her transformation throughout the years. In the same post, she said that she could easily identify her age in the set of photos by simply looking at her face, weight, hairstyle, and outfit. She admitted that while she was made by her parents to feel good about her own looks, she was asked to go under the knife at 16 when she entered showbiz. She said that she was told that her nose was "too big for the movie screen" and so she had a nose job even though she really did not want to.
The singer also made news when she reunited with her cousins Sunshine and Donna Cruz online to sing for their fans. The cousins managed to give entertainment to their followers despite being distant from each other. Their video received positive reactions from netizens who were stunned by their beautiful singing.
