Luis Manzano recently revealed in an online interview that he and his wife, Jessy Mendiola, broke up last year during the height of the ECQ.

He said that both of them were going through many things, which many people, including some of their friends and followers knew nothing about.

The actor then revealed there was even a time during the height of the health crisis that they broke up.

“Napakarami rin naming pinagdaanan na hindi nakikita ng mga tao. In fact, there was a time during pandemic that we broke-up,” Luis revealed.

Luis said that HowHow, his term of endearment Jessy, even posted it on her vlog, adding it wasn’t easy for both of them.

“Na-post din ni HowHow yun sa vlog niya. Kumbaga, it wasn’t easy. And I can only imagine. Kung ako, I was already having a hard time. Kahit papaano, baka hindi ko lang nailabas or wala lang sa personality ko, pero it gets to us, e,” the actor revealed.

Fortunately, they patched things up and were married even while the pandemic is still very much around.

A couple of weeks ago, Luis featured his wife, Jessy Mendiola, and his best friend, Alex Gonzaga, on his latest vlog. In the vlog, Luis held a 'Who Knows Me Better' challenge, 'Wifey vs. Bestie' edition. During the game, Luis asked the two about the most embarrassing thing that happened to him. This prompted Luis to share an incident that occurred in Alex's debut which amused netizens.

More recently, Luis shared a video on social media has caught the attention of netizens. In the said video, Luis can be seen doing a TikTok duet with his “look-alike”, Thai actor Jirakit Thawornwong, nicknamed Mek. Mek immediately reacted to the Filipino actor and TV host’s catchy post. Netizens also could not help gushing over the resemblance between the two actors.
