Pokwang turns off comment section on Instagram after transferring to GMA

Pokwang has disabled commenting on her Instagram account after she made headlines for transferring to GMA Network.

It can be recalled that the award-winning comedienne became officially a Kapuso after signing a contract with GMA Artist Center on Friday, June 18.
“Maraming salamat po @gmanetwork @artistcenter excited sa mga magaganap soon,” she posted on Instagram alongside photos of her taken during her contract signing.

She also informed her followers that her account’s comment section has been turned off due to negative comments she has been receiving.
“Mag off po muna ako ng comment chu chu may mga NEGATIBO SA BUHAY AT KITID UTAK NA NAGMAMATALINO, Gusto ko lang naman maging masaya habang nag hahanap buhay para sa pamilya at mapasaya tunay kong taga suporta at hindi mga NEGA! Salamat sa mga nakakaunawa at sa mga hindi naman problema nyo nayan”

Pokwang, or Marietta Subong in real life, is a Filipino comedian, actress, television host and singer. She was born on August 27, 1970. The actress started out as a reality star on ABS-CBN and eventually appeared in dramas and sitcoms of the network.
She also received the Best Comedy Actress award from the Philippine Movie Press Club for her portrayal in the sitcom "Aalog-Alog" and the Best Female Comedian award from People's Choice Awards.
GMA warmly welcomed the talented celebrity to the network recently. Pokwang likewise took to Twitter to express how grateful she is for the opportunity to share her talent anew.
Pokwang’s recent TikTok video has put smiles on netizens’ faces. In the said video, which she also shared on Instagram, Pokwang could be seen dancing gracefully to the music. Malia, who was behind the comedienne in the video, was also caught staring at her mom.
