Joel Cruz has openly admitted that he has been fooled in the past after he trusted a certain person.

Just recently, KAMI learned that the Philippines's 'Lord of Scents' sat down for a one-on-one interview with Ogie Diaz on his YouTube channel.

During the interview, Ogie asked if Joel has ever been fooled in the past to which Joel immediately said yes, "Oo. Ang hindi ata pinakamagandang topic. Naloko ako, oh my God."

"In what way ka naloko?" Ogie asked.

According to Joel, he got fooled due to money and friendships, "Nagtiwala ako. Pero yung pagtitiwala sa pera, tsaka sa relationship ng kaibigan, ganun."

The entrepreneur then went on to recall how it transpired, "Akala mo totoo, maganda naman ang relationship niyo, ang rapport niyo, yung ganun, communication niyo.

"Pero pagka nauto ka na, akala mo totoo yun mga nangyayari, mag-invest ka raw sa kanya. Yung pera mo ay may interes daw na 8%, sa kanya raw yun 2%, akin yun 6% ganun.

"Nung una, nung 3 months binibigyan niya ng interes. Kahit 1 million lang, ang laki nung 6%," he shared.

However, things changed during the fourth month.

"Nung ika-4th month, kinakailangan ko ng pera nun, kasi pwede naman niya ibalik yung pera ko eh, ayaw na magbalik. That was November.

"From December 1 to December 31, natatandaan ko yun, inaraw araw ko siyang tinetext at tinatawagan.

"Balik mo naman kahit 10 million lang sa pera ko' kasi asa 50 million ko na nasa kanya eh. Nawala ang 40 million," he admitted.

Following this big revelation, Ogie proceeded to ask what he learned from the incident, "Ano natutunan mo sa ganun? Hindi ka na papasok sa ganun?"

"Ayoko na, mahirap talaga. Siguro i-share ko na rin na, akala natin lahat ng tao na nakikilala natin ay totoo," Joel answered.

At one point, Joel openly admitted that he got depressed, "Alam mo, na-depress ako after nun. Kasi parang, sabi ko, for how many years ako naging successful.

"Na pinaghirapan ko lahat ng success ko na 'to diba? Tapos isang tao lang pala yung gaganun sa akin.

"Na parang sisirain ako sa isang bagay na narating ko. Parang na-depress ako na parang she was so powerful kasi naloko niya ako eh."

"Sa sandaling ganun, nawala ang 40 million," he added.
