Comedian Leo Martinez took to Facebook and made an appeal to the IATF to just allow senior citizens to go out.

He said that seniors have already been locked up for more than a year, something not normal for seniors and even for children.

"At saka, ano pa ba naman ang gagawin namin kapag kami’y nakalabas? Hindi naman kami magpapakalat-kalat diyan sa mga kalye. Hindi rin naman kami makikipag-inuman kung saan-saan kanto," said the comedian.

He then added that women will not flock towards them because they are already old. He's seventy-six already and would just like to see the world and savor what they have previously been doing.

"Yun la-ang, maawa naman kayo. Bakit ba kami pang kakaunti na ang panahon dito ang pinagbabawalang makamusta ulit ang ating mundo?"

Filipinos can start removing their face shields whenever they are outdoors or in open-air settings. This is what Department of Health Undersecretary Leopoldo Vega said in an interview over at state television PTV. He said that people who walk or work in open-air areas need not wear them to avoid untoward accidents. His pronouncements run contrary to the position of DOH Secretary Francisco Duque III, who earlier rejected calls by some mayors and senators to scrap the face shields, and said there is science behind the policy.
