Jodi Sta. Maria has every reason to be happy, particularly that now, one of the items in her bucket list is close to being fulfilled.
The actress recently shared that she was able to defend her thesis successfully, thus getting her a step closer towards getting a college degree, which has been her dream for a long time.
Her thesis is about ear acupuncture detoxification in the anxiety level of those working in TV production studios.
The actual title of Jodi’s thesis is “The Impact of NADA Protocol or Ear Acudetox in the Anxiety Level of People Working in TV Production.”
A thesis is one of the non-negotiable requirements needed in order for a student to pass a course or graduate from college.
It is not simply written and submitted as students have to successfully defend in a panel-proponent setting the claims, hypothesis and conclusions made by the student-proponent in their thesis.
"The defense lasted for 3 hours! I was so nervous! But then at the back of my head I was just really praying na ‘Lord, can you just bless me with all the spiritual knowledge and wisdom to be able to answer all the queries of the panel!’” Jodi shared.
The actress revealed she never expected there is an activity more stressful than being in showbiz.
“I never realized na meron palang mas stressful pa sa pagiging showbiz. Pero iba rin naman yung fulfillment!” Jodi added.
She explained that grades aren’t immediately available after the defense. At the moment, it would be pass, fail, or re-defense.
Jodi happily shared that the panel had told her she passed.
The actress also admitted that she is not very much interested in what her grade is and what’s important is that she was able to defend it successfully and passed.
