Riva Quenery recently addressed the comments she read online regarding her outlook on her pregnancy which some believe might negatively influence younger audiences.

The 22-year-old Kapamilya actress previously announced her pregnancy and posted a vlog dedicated to her baby whom she calls a blessing from God. However, some netizens claimed that she might be influencing her young fans to believe that it is fine to get pregnant no matter their age.

According to Riva, she has gotten some comments telling her to place a disclaimer on her vlogs regarding her pregnancy. The actress apologized that she was not able to do so in her previous vlogs as she was really excited to share her pregnancy with her followers.

Riva explained that the right time to start a family is situational and will vary depending on the person's circumstance.

"Ito yung gusto kong sabihin sa inyo, guys na situational kasi yan."

The actress also clarified that the reason she was so happy to have a baby at her age is due to the fact that she and her boyfriend are both stable and they were confident in their family's support regarding her pregnancy.

In order to reveal the baby's gender, her boyfriend had to break some golden basketball-shaped balls with powder inside them. Upon breaking the fourth ball, pink powder spewed to signal that the couple will be having a baby girl.

Riva also revealed that she tested positive for COVID-19 prior to finding out she was pregnant. According to the actress, she did suspect she might be pregnant which was why she used some pregnancy test kits which had negative results.
